Blackberry messenger 6.0 now available in beta

Not too long ago, videos and screen shots of the BlackBerry Messenger 6.0 were released and The app eventually leaked, so many blackberry users already have a version of it running on their devices. This
week, it was put up for everyone by RIM,
via the Beta Zone. Here’s are a little of the new features in the new BBM:

- Updated BBM branding
- More“snappy” and responsive feel
- Visual distinction of message drafts vs. sent messages
- Any alerts set for SMS contacts are now preserved in BBM once an SMS contact is integrated with
BBM
- you can now Invite a Text Messaging Contact
—it’s now easier to search contacts
- Location Search — you can now search for a location before
sending, in likeness to the Location Search experience via SMS
- Location Sending— your location can now be detected with
cell tower triangulation or GPS
- Appointment Sending— sending appointment or calendar events is now a similar
experience to that of sending an appointment via SMS
