Nokia Nigeria,last week in Lagos,announced a promotion that gives free one month internet access on the device to anyone that purchases its range of products. The products covered by the promo include the Nokia N8,C7,E5,C6 and E72. Disclosing this in Lagos,Nokia's Head of Marketing in charge of West Africa,Mr Reuben onwubiko,said Nokia had since moved away from being a mere manufacturing company as evident in the value added solutions and services that its range of devices offer.
The new Nokia global market strategy also chop at connecting the next one billion people to the internet via mobile devices. To this end,Nokia recently announced a strategic partnership with Microsoft,which will see it adopting Windows as the operating system for its smartphones. Mr onwubiko also added that the promotion was also part of efforts to reward customers whose patronage had helped in sustaining Nokia as a leader in the mobile phone market. The nokia marketing chief also disclosed that those who purchase the new Nokia C3 will be given a free pouch. The prizes are instant and are redeemable in any of Nokia's over 40 solutions outlets across the country. That's not all;all winners qualify for a raffle draw where they can win a brand new Kia Soul car and an all expense paid trip for two persons to Dubai. The Nokia buy and win promo is also to promote the advantages of buying genuine Nokia devices. Nokia recently launched a campaign it called "be original,buy original" which highlighted the benefits of the Nokia warranty. He said "all genuine Nokia products bought from accredited Nokia retailers are covered with a one-year warrantee.
