Whats the difference between Blackberry Internet Service(BIS) and Blackberry Enterprise Service(BES) ?

In my last post,i was talking about Globacom's Blackberry subscription then i stumbled upon the BES data plans and since most of us are not familiar with it as with the BIS which most of us are subscribed to,i've decided to shed more light on it. Both the BIS and BES can be used for email forwarding but what really is the difference?

BIS:
BIS stands for Blackberry Internet Service and acts like an Smart phone ISP thereby giving you an access to the internet. This is what you would use if you wanted to incorporate your Yahoo, Gmail, AOL, Windows Live, etc. email account(s). This type of email server is also used when setting up your email from the
wireless carrier you have as it ’s hosted directly with BlackBerry

BES:
BES stands for BlackBerry
Enterprise Server. It gives your
BlackBerry access to a corporate intranet. The intranet is the private, internal, network within a company. It ’s kind of like a mini-internet that is cut off from the rest of the world. Many intranets allow you to communicate with the Internet as well, but with added layers of security.

SO WHATS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN THESE TWO?
Both the BIS and BES support email forwarding and allows you to surf the internet, All information and traffic go to the BIS/BES server but where does the difference lie? The main difference between these two is the level of security and control. Though the information passed on the BIS is encrypted, its not as secure as you think it is because your dictator controls what kind of apps you use in transferring information with the internet. For BES, your company operates the server, and usually has it sitting somewhere within the
corporate network. The IT
department controls all aspect of the BES server, and it ’s likely
sitting in a nice and secure
location which means that using the BES gives you a private and closed network and can only be accessed by infiltration of the monitor in which your data is stored.

With the BES,you can push certain applications to different Blackberrys in your organization. For example, you'd like to have a particular application on about 100 Blackberrys, you can easily push the application to all Blackberrys without laying your hands on each Blackberry
